Canadian singer Nelly Furtado has revealed she was secretly married over the summer. She famously sang about a fear of commitment with ‘I’m Like a Bird’, says she loves being married.
The Grammy winner told Entertainment Tonight Canada on Friday that she married sound engineer Demacio Castellon in a private and very secret ceremony on July 19, 2008.
The two worked together on Furtado's 2006 album "Loose," which included the hits "Promiscuous" and "Maneater."
They have been engaged since last year.
Furtado, 29, has a four-year-old daughter, Nevis, from a previous relationship with DJ Jasper Gahunia that ended in 2005.
